€In the horn the eye, the artist attempted to imitate the materiality of object, its relief and to make believe in its presence. This definition highlights the perfect puerility of the horn the eye. Art consists in releasing from the vision of the matter, a feeling. I.e. an ideal€ (Larousse, 1900).
